I cringe every time I see a wedding film that requires held poses and smoke bombs for the drama. I want to capture your day as it unfolds before me. I am a guest, a witness, an artist inspired by your unique energy & vibe. Each film I create looks completely different. Because guess what, YOU’RE completely different. And that’s the most beautiful part of it all.

I’m a witness

I started my filmmaking journey in the documentary world, & I still like it here. This doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate beauty & aesthetics, I just believe that beauty exists in every moment, unforced: you just have to notice it. I want to bear witness to your day as it unfolds. I want to capture the small, intimate moments that no one else sees. I love the times where I feel like I’m truly able to blend into the crowd and capture things unnoticed. It’s not my day, it’s yours; my energy on your day should & will always reflect that.

a film is an investment

Filmmaking is a labor of love. It’s a process that is challenging and something I pour a lot of time into in order to give you a beautiful, timeless, unique film you’ll be able to cherish for generations to come. If you’re looking for the cheapest option for a videographer, I’m simply not it. If you’re someone who values artistry, want to book someone who values & celebrates culture, & if you genuinely connect with my work & trust me to tell your story, then I’m so excited to work with you.

FAQs

  • I do not offer an hourly rate for wedding/event films. This is because unlike photography, the same amount of time & care goes into creating the film regardless of how much footage is captured. I do offer a small discount for less hours of coverage, but require a minimum of 6-hours of coverage in order to ensure the quality of story & film delivered.

  • Yes, absolutely. I'm open and eager to capture weddings that represent all races, religions, cultures, etc. I'm convinced that weddings are one of the best & most beautiful ways to experience a new culture.

    (However, if heavy drinking/partying is an important part of your event, we may not be a great match)

  • I currently offer video OR photo packages. My focus and passion is definitely filmmaking, but if you love my documenting style and decide to only hire a photographer for your wedding, I'd love to work with you. I cannot do both photo & video for the same event & if you're hiring for both, I prefer video.

  • As a hijabi, I totally respect boundaries around privacy- especially for Muslim hijabi brides who may choose not to wear hijab on their wedding day. I will not share anything publicly that you are not comfortable with. However, as a creative business owner who needs to market their work in order to gain clients, I do appreciate clients who are willing to work with me on this.

  • 3-4 months for wedding films
